Dr. Barberio is truly one of a kind. Everyone who knows him quickly realizes that there is much more to him than just his title. He is passionate about his profession, cares about his patients, and he's a true family man. All three of these attributes combined to shape a world-class professional and a kind-hearted individual. He believes in giving the staff and his patients the family treatment, and this is what sets him apart. Patients rest easy knowing that Dr. Barberio is not only knowledgeable but cares about their well being. Without a doubt, the atmosphere Dr. Barberio has shaped at his practice is nothing short of a family.

His love for service began before he got into dentistry. His first act of service was to our country, where he served in the Air Force. After leaving the Air Force he moved to South Florida where he worked for a commercial airline. While working for the airline he earned a B.S in Biology from Florida International University and a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from the University of Florida. Fortunately for us, he did not return to his hometown of N.Y.C, instead he moved to Virginia in 1981. He provided dental care in Staunton through the Health Department for four years before opening his private practice in Pantops in 1984. Not only does he serve his patients with high-quality care at his practice, but he also gives back to the community by volunteering at the Free Clinic in Charlottesville. He considers himself to be extremely privileged to be able to mentor 4th-year dental students from the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Barberio works with them in the clinic where he helps them practice and perfect the skills they are taught in dental school in a more demanding clinical setting.

Being a family man, much of his free time is spent enjoying other passions in life with his family. It would be safe to say that Dr. Barberio lives life to the fullest, taking part in several adventurous activities. Did we mention he is a pilot? When he's not enjoying the view from a few thousand feet in the air, you might find him off the beaten path kicking up dust on his ATV, or coasting across the lake on a canoe.
